Day 3: Blood Mtn. Wilderness

7 miles: Lance Creek to Neels Gap
Short day.

The day started suspiciously nice. However I knew we were in for another day of rain. And not much later it looked like this:

Knocked out the 7 miles by one o clock. I had plans for more miles but after hanging out in mountain crossings outfitters at neels gap while cold and wet I thought about how nice a shower and bunk for 17 bucks would be. So I spent the day browsing mountain crossings and watching people have their packs shaken down.

What is a shakedown you ask?

It's when an experienced hiker goes through everything inside a new hikers pack and tells them what they need and don't need. In an effort to reduce their pack weight and make their thru hike more enjoyable. Mount crossings is famous for them since they are the first outfitter on the trail.
